Slow Jam November 11th.

Learn to play the fiddle!  A two week class offered to adults and youths age 10 and up at the Burlington Violin Shop! Contact us to enroll!

Woodbury Strings will begin it's family contradance series on October 21st at the Schoolhouse Learning Center in South Burlington.

Woodbury Strings Fiddle and Banjo Club will appear at the Vermont Community Garden Network Harvest Party on October 2nd.

Woodbury Strings free noon concerts at the Burlington Violin Shop.  Sarah Hotchkiss and John Mowad play fiddle and banjo/guitar duos along with student guest performers.  Try out a fiddle!  Free and open to the public, rain or shine.  Wednesdays Noon to 1 pm on July 13 & 20; August 10 & 17.

Intro to Fiddle Classes at the Burlington Violin Shop with the instructors from Woodbury Strings for adults and youths ages 10 & up.  No prior musical experience necessary.  The class meets for two consecutive weeks in July, with a repeat session for new participants in August.  Thursday evenings 7 - 8 pm July 14 & 21; August 4 & 11.  $45 includes a two week violin rental and two classes. (3 minimum/10 maximum) Register with Woodbury Strings.

Woodbury Strings Buskathon:  Saturday August 20 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Free concert at the Burlington Violin Shop plus try out a fiddle!  Fiddle and Banjo players of all ages will be performing to raise donations for the Woodbury Strings Scholarship Fund. Rain or Shine!  Come any time during the event.  Do you have a fiddle group that would like to sign up to perform?  If so, contact Sarah Hotchkiss at woodburystrings@gmail. com to register.

FREE FIDDLE INTRO CLASS FOR YOUTHS AND ADULTS July 15th

 at the Burlington Violin Shop at 23 Church Street in Burlington

10:30 Youths (suggested 6 and up, younger children should be accompanied by an adult)
11:30 Adults..

No Experience Required.  Preregistration is helpful but not required.  Just come!  No obligation to take lessons.  This is a free trial and we hope you come just to have fun and see what it feels like to play a fiddle!

BUSKATHON and INSTRUMENT PETTING ZOO JULY 18 @ 11 - 2 pm

at the Burlington Violin Shop at 23 Church Street in Burlington

Free and open to the public.  Musicians of all ages will be busking to raise funds for the Woodbury Strings Scholarship Fund.  Want to participate?  Anyone welcome to join the cause!  Please preregister for a slot and ask any questions by contacting Sarah Hotchkiss.
